Via delle Fosse e i buoni spesa: quando la politica si dimentica degli ultimi
Più di qualcuno aveva pensato che con l’insediamento della nuova amministrazione ci sarebbe stata una svolta positiva nella gestione della nostra città. Gli avvenimenti che si sono succeduti in questi primi due anni di consiliatura hanno smentito gli ottimisti. Tralasciando i cambi di casacca all’interno della maggioranza, gli abbandoni da parte di più di un esponente anche di primo piano per il modo di governare considerato confuso e pasticciato, abbiamo potuto verificare che l’amministrazione ha più volte confuso il dire con il fare, calpestando il diritto dei cittadini – soprattutto appartenenti alle fasce sociali più disagiate – ad avere risposte chiare circa le emergenze lamentate. Due i fatti che ci hanno colpito in tal senso. Il primo riguarda la gestione dei soldi che sono stati stanziati – dal governo nazionale per tramite la protezione civile e dal governo regionale – per l’emergenza sociale seguita al diffondersi pandemico del coronavirus, con tante famiglie che si sono trovate senza reddito. Il secondo – non meno grave – è l’assenza di una risposta nei confronti dei cittadini che abitano le case popolari di via delle Fosse. Nel primo caso ci è stata segnalata – ad esempio – la criticità nella gestione dei buoni spesa, sia per quanto riguarda le modalità e sia per quanto riguarda la tempistica nell’erogazione delle somme spettanti. Cogliamo quindi l’occasione per chiedere che venga fatta chiarezza sulla gestione dell’emergenza (modalità di erogazione dei contributi, finanziamenti ottenuti, somme richieste, somme erogate, tempi di erogazione, etc….). Cosa ben diversa – ma non meno grave – è l’assenza di risposte ai cittadini di via delle Fosse. Il problema è ben noto. A causa dell’erosione dovuta all’azione del Torrente Rio Fresco, la strada di accesso alle loro abitazioni è frenata, tanto che sono costretti a lasciare le loro auto a centinaia di metri e percorrere il tratto a piedi. Impresa non facile per gli anziani e i disabili. L’amministrazione ha provveduto ad un primo intervento da circa 60mila euro per la messa in sicurezza del torrente ma non ha ancora provveduto ai lavori di messa in sicurezza della strada. Non vorremmo che a pesare sui ritardi sia il fatto che la zona non è inclusa nella “Formia bene”. Lo conferma il fatto che i cittadini in questione sono quasi tutti a basso reddito. Al solito considerati come dei cittadini ghettizzati, buoni solo quando c’è da chiedere il voto.
D’altronde sono anni che la nostra città è divisa in due: c’è chi ha diritto ad essere trattato con i guanti di velluto (e quindi può beneficiare di interventi di manutenzione e di miglioramenti urbanistici) e chi invece è abbandonato a se stesso e anzi quando si interviene si rischia di peggiorare la situazione. Lo conferma un nostro articolo del giugno 2012, nel quale – a proposito dei lavori che aveva riguardato proprio la messa in sicurezza del Torrente Rio Fresco – lamentavamo che erano stati fatti malissimo, l’installazione dei gabbioni in pietra aveva accelerato – e non eliminato – l’erosione, e inoltre che il passaggio dei pesanti mezzi d’opera aveva semidistrutto proprio la strada, che ora cade a pezzi. E non crediamo sia un caso quello che è successo.
Nonostante le numerose promesse da parte dell’amministrazione comunale la messa in sicurezza della strada – ripetuta più volte ad una delegazione di cittadini – abbiamo dovuto verificare l’assenza di provvedimenti in grado di tamponare il problema.
Non abbiamo dimenticato gli slogan urlati in campagna elettorale – dagli attuali amministratori – circa la necessità di un cambio di passo, della necessità di una città inclusiva e non esclusiva.
Ebbene gli slogan urlati nelle piazze oggi fanno fatica a trovare concretezza quando si tratta di risolvere i problemi di chi non ha santi in paradiso a cui rivolgersi.
